Please call Testing Service (573) 651-2836 to arrange a testing time. Candidates should report to the testing location 15 minutes prior with a valid photo ID. Report to Testing Services for the proper debit/credit card charge form before going to the Cashier's Office. Non-Southeast students wanting to take tests may pay their fees either by cash or with a debit or credit card at the Cashier’s Office in Academic Hall. If you are a Southeast Missouri State University student taking a test through Testing Services, applicable fees will be charged to your student account. The individual's score report is the property of Southeast Missouri State University and is not transferable to any other institution. Testing Services will score the Residual ACT after completion and provide a score report to the individual. however, test dates are scheduled through Testing Services. Testing Services administers the Residual ACT based on the procedure and guidelines provided by ACT, Inc. R-ACT scores are only valid for admission to Southeast. Students who cannot take the standard ACT on nationally scheduled test dates may take the Residual ACT (R-ACT) at Southeast. Prep courses are available through Southeast Missouri State University Continuing Education. The Writing Test, which is optional, measures skills in planning and writing a short essay. The multiple-choice tests cover four skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science. It assesses high school students general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work. The ACT is America's most widely accepted college entrance exam.
